Betrayal and redemption abound in this action-adventure tale of magic and mayhem!

The last time Daphne had seen her childhood friend Estella, they had parted on bad terms because of her affair with Petro, Estella's then-groom-to-be. The wedding was called off, Daphne joined the king's army, and Estella reluctantly became the greatest healer ever to have walked the Realms.

Denied leave from the the king's army to care for her sick father, Daphne turned AWOL and made her way back home. She almost turned to a life of crime, but her father instead requested that she ask Estella for help. With no money and constantly hiding from the authorities, Daphne hesitatingly agreed.

But on her way to meet Estella, Daphne had to run into Petro, of all people. They ended up rekindling their old affair – which caused Estella's long-buried feelings to bubble up to the surface. Estella stormed off and hadn't been seen since that day. After much searching, Daphne and Petro were appalled to discover that the notorious local warlord Primrose has her.

With bounty hunters and the king's men bearing down on her, can Daphne rescue Estella in time to save her father?

February 24, 2009 --- MRM COMICS recently launched its first mobile comic book entitled “From the Dead” a horror-action-suspense story by Jonas Diego on the iPhone App Store.

MRM COMICS a division of MRM Studios Inc. (www.mrmstudios.com), a company engaged in mobile entertainment, digital musical services, and ecommerce has recently branched out into the publication of ecomics and ebooks.

MRM has developed a comic player that would display comics where pages, lay-out and text has been specifically optimized for iPhone and iPod Touch. This would allow readers to follow the scenes smoothly just by sliding their finger across the screen.

JONAS DIEGO is an artist, creative consultant, businessman, and a blogger.

He is the Founder and Creative Director of ROBO MONKEY PIXEL FIGHTERS (RMPF), his art studio that specializes in graphic design, illustration, storyboard production, and comic book production.

He graduated from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos (UPLB) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Development Communications (Major in Educational Communication, Minor in Broadcast Communication, and Technical Course in Economics).

He loved college so much that he stayed for six years spinning music on the airwaves as a DJ for a local FM station, playing guitars and vocals in a band, and generally living the life of a free spirit. He also did a bit of studying on the side.

He has since then worked as a Communication Officer, a Graphic Designer, a Comic Book Creator, a Writer, an Online Marketing Specialist, a Content Developer, a Business Development Officer, a Creative Consultant, and a Country Manager for various international and local companies.

Blogging since 2003, Jonas turned pro in 2005, and was affiliated with the Philippines' first blogging network, Bayanihan Blogs.

He is an advocate of non-traditional channels (webcomics, e-books, and mobile content) as an alternative for the distribution, popularization, and monetization of comic books.

When strange murders started happening all over the city the mysterious organization know only as “The Foundation” turns to their best operative, Frank to help them clean up the mess and solve the problem. The only problem is that Frank’s been retired for many years and less than enthusiastic about going back to work for his former employers.

The Foundation however has ways and means to convince him to take the case.

Having no choice in the matter he takes the case hoping to close it quickly and get The Foundation off his back.

Frank’s only lead is an informant belonging to a cult who could possibly shed some light on his case and point him in the right direction.

Things take a turn for the worse when his beautiful contact appears from nowhere, out of her mind, and being chased by monsters…which is about one of the worse things that could happen to Frank.

Because one of his few weaknesses are damsels in distress…
